NEWS RELEASE

CITY OF GUELPH

*************************
Road will be closed to local traffic from Starwood Drive to Watson Parkway for an emergency repair of a sanitary sewer pipe at 570 Grange Road.

Grange Road will be closed from 7 a.m. Tuesday, June 20 until about 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 21.

Local access to Ken Danby Public School, Holy Trinity Catholic School, and homes within the closure will be maintained throughout the work.

All addresses east of 570 Grange Road should access their homes via Watson Parkway, and all addresses to the west of 570 Grange Road, including the two schools, should use Starwood Drive for access.

Pedestrian access

The sidewalk on the south side of Grange Road will remain open. The sidewalk on the north side of Grange Road will be closed at the point of construction. Pedestrians should cross safely at designated crossing points.

Property access and parking

Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.) Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.

Guelph Transit

Guelph Transit route 14 will be temporarily detoured during construction. Visit guelphtransit.ca for information about stop changes and route detours.

City services

There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.

The City appreciates your patience, understanding and co-operation during this important construction project. Any updates will be posted on guelph.ca/construction.
