  • Guelph - Erin - Southern Wellington County
  • Kitchener - Cambridge - Region of Waterloo

Significant rainfall Saturday.

Periods of rain will begin after midnight tonight and continue Saturday. Rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm are likely by Saturday evening when the rain is expected to change to snow. Rainfall amounts exceeding 25 mm are possible.

Localized ponding in low-lying areas and on roads is possible.

This rain is the result of a low pressure system that will track over Southern Ontario on Saturday. There remains considerable uncertainty in the exact track of this system and the associated precipitation. Rainfall warnings may be required.

Freezing rain possible overnight into Saturday morning.

Snow or rain will develop overnight and continue into Saturday. Several hours of freezing rain are also possible overnight and into Saturday morning. The precipitation will then change over to snow near midday.

Surfaces such as highways, roads and walkways may become icy and slippery as a result.

This precipitation is the result of a low pressure system that will track over Southern Ontario on Saturday. There remains considerable uncertainty in the exact track of this system and the associated precipitation.
