Guelph Chamber of Commerce announces new Board of Directors

These changes were approved during the Nov. 17 annual general meeting

The Guelph Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its incoming 2020-2021 Board of Directors – approved at the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held virtually on Tuesday Nov. 17.  

The Guelph Chamber’s incoming 2020 - 2021 Board of Directors are:

  • Sean Freedman – Freightzy
  • Cinthuja Leon – Guelph & District Multicultural Festival
  • Marc Petitpas – Marc Petitpas Business Coaching
  • Kathleen Pilgrim – Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC)
  • Stefanie Sharp – University of Guelph  

Executive Committee:

  • Kyle Hampson, Miller Thomson LLP – Chair
  • Michele Mactaggart, Bensol Consulting – 1st Vice Chair
  • Brandy Douglas, CulturedHR – 2nd Vice Chair
  • Kim Aitken, RLB LLP – Treasurer
  • Patrick Wieland, RBC – Past Chair  

Returning Board Members:

  • Sarah Haanstra – Guelph Community Health Centre
  • David Halls – Royal Lepage Royal City Realty  

“Although the past year presented us with unprecedented challenges, the Chamber Board and team are dedicated to ensuring that our members continue to be supported during these times” says Shakiba Shayani, President & CEO of the Guelph Chamber. “We’re looking forward to continuing to carry out the goals and activities outlined in our Strategic Plan and look forward to providing innovative and solution-generating conversations, events, and programming to serve the business community.”  

The Guelph Chamber would like to recognize outgoing Past Chair, Melanie Lang, for her dedication and service to the Board. During her six-year tenure, Melanie proved to be a driving force in ensuring the organization’s continued success.
