Guelph driver involved in crash that kills elderly Waterloo man

WATERLOO - A Waterloo man, 85, has been killed in a crash.

It happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of University Avenue East and Lincoln Road in Waterloo.

Waterloo Regional Police allege a minivan, being operated by a Guelph man, 24, hit a car that was stopped on Lincoln.

The Waterloo man was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

He was later pronounced dead.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
