Guelph Soccer has cancelled all programming Thursday evening due to the current air quality health index.
“The club continues to monitor the current air quality health index online here,” said an email sent to parents mid-afternoon.
“The forecast for this evening shows the index will reach a level 7 (high-risk).”
Wildfire smoke continues to fill the skies over southwestern Ontario, for a third day in a row.
Environment Canada said an air quality statement remains in place and advises that people limit their time outdoors due to health risks.
“The health and safety of our members is top priority,”Guelph Soccer said. “And therefore, we have decided to cancel all Guelph Soccer programming.”
