It appears the Guelph Storm and City of Guelph have reached a new deal on extending the team's lease at the Sleeman Centre.
The City and Storm have announced a joint news conference for Friday morning at City Hall involving Mayor Cam Guthrie and Storm governor and co-owner Rick Gaetz. Guelph CAO Derrick Thomson will also be in attendance.
With the old lease - negotiated with a different ownership group -
set to expire in the next year, the two sides had been negotiating a new lease for several months.
