A city-wide scavenger hunt will happen next month, in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph (BBBS).

The event, known as “Royal City Big Chase,” is modelled after The Amazing Race TV show. It will see 40 teams of four compete in a series of challenges and scavenger hunts involving well-known locations throughout Guelph on Oct. 15.

Participation is open to people of all ages, though team captains must be at least 18 years of age. Each team must also have access to a vehicle.

The first three teams to cross the finish line will receive prizes, as will the top fundraisers.

Funds raised will benefit BBBS programs and initiatives that impact more than 600 children and youth.
