GuelphToday.com is thrilled to welcome a new element to the diverse offerings we bring to the city’s information landscape.

Guelph Business Venture, a highly-regarded business-to-business publication for 25 years in the Royal City, is now part of the GuelphToday.com team.

It will be a digital-only offering called Venture, available at GuelphToday.com/Venture and through a special navigation banner on our home page.

You can expect business news and information of a quantity and quality that can’t be found elsewhere in the city, with new content being added on a daily basis.

Mike Baker, who successfully guided the publication as its owner and publisher for the past number of years, is working with GuelphToday on the transition.

“We are pleased to be working with Mike Baker in the transition to digital,” said Jeff Elgie, owner and publisher of GuelphToday’s parent company Village Media.

“We are excited to bring even more local content, focused on the business community. Our new Venture section will not only include what you would have expected from Guelph Business Venture, but also a wide range of new content from our editorial team.”

Venture will continue to be a way for local business people to connect through their own stories as well as a place for non-profits and organizations to spread the word about the great work they do.

It will also offer even more, as business-related stories written by GuelphToday’s trained journalists will also be part of the Venture page.

Informative articles and profiles on business achievement and start-up, education, the service sector, not-for-profit organizations, manufacturing, technology, and volunteerism and philanthropy can all be found there.

Baker called the shift to GuelphToday for his publication “a natural fit” that allows Venture to continue to provide local in-depth business-specific news.”
