A Wind Warning continues to be in effect Wednesday, says Environment Canada.
Gusts of wind up to 90 km/h were forecast for Guelph, Erin, Souther Wellington County, Kitchener, Cambridge and Region of Waterloo.
Scattered flurries have been coming and going throughout the day, at times leading to low visibility.
Environment Canada said damage may occur to roof shingles and windows and loose objects may be tossed by the wind, causing damage. Power outages may occur in some places.
A mature tree was seen uprooted on the University of Guelph campus Wednesday afternoon.
Winds are expected to diminish Wednesday evening.
