Montreal's Boogat will bring his mix of hip hop and Latin music to Hillside Inside.

Hillside announced the first number of shows for this year's Hillside Inside lineup on Wednesday.

Boogat, who previously played at Hillside's summer festival, will be joined on stage by Edmonton hip hop artist Cadence Weapon on Feb. 9 at St. George's Church's Mitchell Hall beginning at 9 p.m.

On Saturday night Toronto punk band Metz plays Mitchell Hall, with Partner opening.

Tickets for both shows are $20.

Also on Saturday, Feb. 10, three bands will play Royal Electric in a pay-what-you-can show: Sun K, Texas King and Band of Rascals will all perform starting at 3:30 p.m.

Slocan Ramblers will hold a bluegrass jam at Royal Electric the following day, Feb. 11, starting at 3:30 p.m. in another pay-what-you-can show.

More shows will be announced soon.
