Home sales remain strong in July: CREA

President of Guelph and District Association of REALTORS says the housing market remains 'very much within seller's territory'

The Guelph and District Association of Realtors reports new records for the month of July.

383 units were sold in the area in July 2020, an increase of 23.9 per cent from July 2019.

The average cost of a home went up from June, rising 16.4 per cent in July.

In June 2020:

  • 383 residential units were sold
  • $641,228 was the average price of homes sold
  • 371 residential listings were posted

In June 2020:

  • 345 residential units were sold
  • $666,962 was the average price of homes sold
  • 448 residential listings were posted

To compare, in July 2019:

  •  329 residential units were sold
  •  $615,578 was the average price of homes sold
  •  427 new residential listings were posted
