On November 17, the Guelph Chamber of Commerce will kick off this years ‘Inspirational Women’ luncheon series with Jennifer Green, a trailblazer and active advocate for women in the skilled trades and technologies. The event will feature a thought-provoking conversation about Jennifer’s inspirational trailblazing path to influence, leadership, and community building.
“The Inspirational Women luncheon is an integral and proven component of the Guelph Chamber’s efforts to showcase and help build leadership among women across Guelph through inspiring stories that cultivate success,” says Kithio Mwanzia, President & CEO of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce. “Hosting Jennifer Green, in partnership with Bensol, offers a fantastic opportunity for our community to hear how the skilled trades are transforming communities, businesses and lives.”
Jennifer is a stellar advocate for the promotion and advancement of the trades and women in the skilled trades and technologies. A graduate of Conestoga College, an Industrial Millwright by Trade, and current Maintenance Planner/Scheduler for the Upper Grand District School Board, Jennifer has established herself as a sought-after mentor, leader, and speaker. This has led her to various honours and awards, including the YMCA-YWCA Women of Distinction Award in 2013, and the Conestoga College Alumni of Distinction Award in the same year.
The ‘Inspirational Women’ luncheon takes place Nov. 17 at Delta Guelph Hotel & Conference Centre, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
