Thanks to a generous donation from the Jarrell Family Foundation to the Sustain HOPE Capital Campaign, HOPE House is one step closer to securing its place in the Guelph community.

The Jarrell Family Foundation was created by Jim Jarrell - President and COO of Linamar Manufacturing Company - to support the Guelph community where it needs it most.

“We like to make it a family decision on where to support. Why HOPE House – it does a fantastic job supporting our community for those people in need.”- Jim Jarrell.

To recognize this generous gift, HOPE House has named the community room the Jarrell Family Foundation Community Room.

HOPE House offers services and programs that challenge the stigmas surrounding poverty, and allow our community members to maintain their dignity and choice while simultaneously providing them with tactile skills developed in a community environment that facilitate self-sufficiency. Demand for their services remains at an all-time high as our community recovers from COVID-19. In April 2020, HOPE House completed the purchase of its downtown building to ensure its programs and services have a place to call home for many years to come. The funds raised in the Sustain HOPE Capital Campaign will go towards paying off and renovating the building so that monthly operating costs can be redirected to support immediate poverty relief and other support programs in the community.

The campaign has set a $2 Million campaign goal over the next year.
