Labour council hosts Day of Mourning event at Goldie Mill Park today

A gathering will be held at a downtown park on Friday to mark the National Day of Mourning.

Organized by the Guelph and District Labour Council, the annual event is held in recognition of workers killed or injured on the job.

The ceremony is set for 5:30 p.m. at Goldie Mill Park.

The National Day of Mourning was created through legislation in 1991.
