GuelphToday has launched an up-to-date look at what’s going on in and around Guelph.
The online calendar is focused on special events and activities (not ongoing or regularly occurring events like restaurant specials).
The calendar has been designed to allow members of the community to add their own events quickly and easily.
For maximum control, community members can build their calendar entries by inputting details, uploading a photo, picking a category, and submitting their event using the special “post” button.
The event posting will go live once it is reviewed by GuelphToday staff.
For those who would rather have help creating a new event in the calendar, they can submit all the event details and a photo to [email protected] and one of our team members will be happy to build the calendar posting for you.
Users can filter entries on the calendar by venue, category, day, week or month, and can even change the appearance of the calendar to either a poster board or a list. 
Categories in the calendar are: Arts and Theatre, Business and Politics, Charities and Fundraisers, Children and Family, Comedy, Concerts and Music, Educational, Festivals and Celebrations, Food and Dining Events, Health and Wellness, as well as Sports and Recreation.
It also has a feature that allows you to share a specific event on your Facebook, Twitter, Email or Google+ account.
