It is alleged that on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at noon, a male on a transit bus approached the driver and assaulted him.
Police were called and an investigation into the matter was initiated. On Tuesday, August 2, 2016 the male passenger was arrested.
A 72-year-old Guelph male was charged with assault and two counts of breaching his probation order.
He was subsequently held for a bail hearing. There were no serious injuries as a result of this incident.
