Memorial grove planted in memory of local lives lost to COVID-19 (six photos)

Volunteers planted 110 trees and shrubs in a section of Eramosa River Park on Saturday morning, intended as a memorial grove in recognition of local lives lost to COVID-19.

The tree-planting was organized by Peace One Day Guelph, in collaboration with the City of Guelph, which supplied the trees and shrubs as well as about 200 grasses and wild flowers put in the ground that morning.

The grove was planted in an area behind St. Mary's Ukrainian Church on York Road.
