A group of local men committed to personal connection and community support are combining laughter, lightness and learning to raise money at a charity event this weekend.
Men in Speedos Washing Cars will raise funds for Bracelet of Hope, and the car wash will be held at Royal City Nursery at 6838 Wellington Road in Guelph on Saturday June 29th from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm., says a press release.
The Legacy Men’s Group of Guelph have pledged to have a good time and help out in a light-hearted way to support the community. The proceeds will go to Bracelet of Hope, a well-recognized Guelph-based organization dedicated to ending the AIDS pandemic in Lesotho, Africa.
“We are thrilled to support Bracelet of Hope, while having some fun and not taking ourselves too seriously,” says Scott Yates, a member of the group and a lead organizer of the car wash in the press release.
“Royal City Nursery has been a great supporter and we hope the sun shines and we can get a bunch of cars washed by our well-dressed men!”
The requested donation is a minimum of $10 per car.
