The University of Guelph will be holding a moment of silence Wednesday for the two students who died in the Iranian air disaster.
The event, which is part of a national moment of silence, takes place at 1 p.m. in Branion Plaza. Members of the public are invited to attend, gathering at 12:45 p.m.
Ghanimat Azhdari and Milad Ghasemi Ariani were both PhD students at the school. A vigil was held last Friday on campus.
Universities across Canada will be observing a moment of silence on Wednesday.
"Organized by Universities Canada, this event is aimed at complementing the thoughtful actions already being undertaken by universities, communities, countries and all who were touched by the tragedy," said a U of G news release.
