Fire at 104 Dawson Rd.
At 11:47:03am, the Guelph Fire Dept. responded to a reported fire at the location above, The Restore, Habitat for Humanity. Units from Speedvale Ave., Imperial Rd., Elizabeth St., Stone Rd. and Wyndham St. arrived on scene and found a fire on the exterior northwest corner of the building. All staff were evacuated from the building due to the smoke.
The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished. Guelph Police Services and Guelph Wellington Emergency Medical Services also attended.
There were no injuries to any of the employees or firefighting personnel.
The cause of the fire along with an estimate of the damage is still under investigation. Fire Prevention was contacted and investigating.
