A residential fire occurred just after 7 a.m. Thursday at a home on Trailbrook Lane off of Grange Road.
Six fire department vehicles were at the scene. The fire was contained in the basement of the home.
No injuries. The cause of the fire is being investigated. There is no estimated damage "but it doesn't appear to be significant," said Steven Goode, deputy chief at the Guelph Fire Department.
There is smoke damage.
