Illustrator Nick Craine is celebrating a career milestone now that he is in his 50s with a career spanning three decades. He is selling his entire collection of original art.

The event will be hosted at the Bookshelf on Oct. 14 and 15 from noon to 8 p.m.

“As I’m leaning firmly into my 50’s I felt it was time to make some noise and open up my archive for the first (and likely only) instance in my lifetime,” Craine said in a press release.

Craine’s work has been featured at the Shakespeare birthplace gift shop in Stratford, U.K. and the Hockey Hall of Fame's D.K. (Doc) Seaman Hockey Resource Centre in Etobicoke. He has adapted director Bruce McDonald’s feature films Dance Me Outside and Hard Core Logo into graphic novels.

The event is in collaboration with author Maureen Jennings who will read from her Paradise Café murder series March Roars on Oct. 14 at 2 p.m.

Craine’s work for sale includes pages from 5-Minute Stories for Fearless Girls, portraits, personal works and editorial commissions from publications like The New York Times, The Atlantic, Quill & Quire and The Washington Post.
