Number of Guelph and area schools with COVID case now at eight

Currently, eight schools in the region are dealing with a total of 10 COVID-19 cases, with six classes closed

With the second week of classes underway, eight area schools are dealing with COVID-19 cases, a doubling in the number of schools with confirmed cases compared to last week.

Currently, seven of those schools are in the Upper Grand District School Board with a total of nine cases and six classes closed.

Bishop Macdonell Catholic High School is the only school in the Wellington Catholic District School Board with one reported case and no classes closed.

No new cases have been reported at the University of Guelph.
