WELLINGTON COUNTY – A heavy-footed driver was stopped by Wellington OPP for allegedly going more than double the speed limit.
OPP West Region's Twitter account said OPP stopped a driver Tuesday for going more than twice the speed limit on Wellington Road 109 in the Town of Minto.
An accompanying picture shows a speed radar gun showing a recorded speed of 178 km/hr.
A 35-year-old Toronto driver's vehicle has been impounded for 14 days, license suspended for 30 days and a pending court date.
