CENTRE WELLINGTON - Wellington County OPP reported late Friday that a man is dead following an incident at a store in Fergus.
"On Friday May 31, 2019, at approximately 6:45 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a male in medical distress at a retail store on Tower Street South in the Town of Fergus. Initial reports indicated that an unknown male had sustained serious trauma and required medical attention.
"OPP as well as Guelph-Wellington Paramedics Services attended and transported the adult male to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead."
Media reports indicate the incident happened at the Zehrs store.
OPP continue to investigate the incident. The name of the individual is being withheld at this time.
