Local PC candidate Ray Ferraro says personal matters kept him from attending four all-candidate events this week.

A request for comment from Ferraro and later to his campaign team on the matter resulted in local riding association president Bob Coole providing the following statement from Ferraro:

"I want to apologize for missing recent events as I had some personal family issues to deal with. These have now been resolved and I am working through to election to gain your trust and your support on June 7th"

Ferraro was the only one of the four major parties not to attend all-candidate events this week at College Heights on Tuesday, Hope House on Wednesday, War Memorial Hall on Thursday and Village By The Arboretum on Thursday.

He did attend an event Tuesday night at Three Willows United Church.

Ferraro has previously attended all-candidate forums at Our Lady of Lourdes high school, City Hall and the Italian Canadian Club.

Liberal Sly Castaldi, NDP Aggie Mlynarz and Green Party Mike Schreiner have attended all eight all-candidate forums.

Thursday’s event at the Village By The Arboretum was the final all-candidates meeting prior to Thursday’s provincial election.
