Guelph Police confirmed a pedestrian was taken to hospital as a result of the collision

March 15 7:30 a.m. update

On March 14, 2019 at 9:07 p.m., Guelph Police went to Stone Road West for the report of a collision. A 21-year-old female pedestrian had been crossing the road with the light at the crossing between the mall entrance and the East Side Mario’s plaza when a motor vehicle struck her.

She was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. The driver has been charged with fail to yield to pedestrian under the Highway Traffic Act.

A pedestrian has been taken to Guelph General Hospital with unknown injuries after a collision on Stone Road West on Thursday evening.

The westbound lanes of Stone Road West were closed from about 9:15 until about 10:15 p.m. as Guelph Police Service investigated the collision.

The collision occurred at the traffic lights near the Old Navy mall exit to Stone Road Mall.

Police confirmed a pedestrian was taken to hospital as a result of the collision, but further details were not immediately available.
