Want to get your pets into the holiday spirit this year?
Global Pet Foods on Clair Road will be hosting a pet photos with Santa event on Dec. 3 and Dec. 4 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Santa will be set up outside the store surrounded by bales of hay and Christmas trees and photos will be taken of him with your pets or with the whole family and pet, said Marilyn Alexander, manager of the Clair Road Global Pet Foods, in the plaza on the northwest corner of Clair Road/Gordon Street.
A staff member has even volunteered to dress up as an elf.
People are asked to make a minimum $5 donation with all proceeds from the event going Animals Homeward Bound, a local charity that partners older animals with seniors.
To help keep costs down photos will not be printed but will be sent via e-mail to those having them taken, or people can use their own cameras if they prefer, Alexander said.
"We haven't done something like this in years so it's hard to know how many people to expect because we're not taking appointments," Alexander said.
