A GuelphToday poll showed overwhelming support for mandatory vaccination for students and staff wanting to be on the University of Guelph campus this fall.

The U of G and many other universities have announced mandatory vaccination for students living in residence this fall, but there has been no decision announced on any rules for those on campus in general.

GuelphToday.com polled 2953 GuelphToday.com readers and asked the question: Should the University of Guelph demand proof of full vaccination before allowing students and staff on campus this fall?

The poll ran from 7/19/2021 to 7/26/2021. Of the 2,953 votes, we can determine that 1,165 are from within the community. The full results are as follows:

Definitely should be a requirement 64.75 % total, 74.85 % local
Recommend it, but don't demand 9.45 % total, 9.87 % local
That shouldn't be a requirement 25.74 % total, 15.28 % local
  Local   Total

This result provides for a 95% confidence level +/- 1.78% margin of error in the local community.

GuelphToday.com uses a variety of techniques to capture data, detect and prevent fraudulent votes, detect and prevent robots, and filter out non-local and duplicate votes.
