In preparation for next year’s provincial election, local Liberal Party members are poised to acclaim Raechelle Devereaux as their candidate.
The Guelph Provincial Liberal Association is set to hold an acclamation meeting on Monday evening, joined by party leader Steven Del Duca.
Devereaux is chief executive officer of Guelph Community Health Centre. In that role she works with a number of community agencies to address issues such as food insecurity, housing and homelessness, addiction and more.
She announced her intention to seek the provincial Liberal nomination in May.
