The City of Guelph is hosting its annual Water Services open house at 29 Waterworks Place on Saturday, May 26.

What: Water Services open house and rain barrel sale

Who: City of Guelph staff from Water Services will be providing tours and answering questions. The Guelph Enabling Garden, Guelph-Wellington Master Gardeners and Nature Guelph Wildflower Society will be hosting a plant sale (cash only). 10C Shared Space will be hosting a hands-on workshop on how to build low-maintenance planter containers.

Where: City of Guelph Water Services, 29 Waterworks Place

When: Saturday, May 26, 9 a.m.–2 p.m.

Family-friendly event!

  • Take a tour to see how water gets from the ground to your home
  • Discover more about Guelph water through fun games and activities
  • Learn about Guelph’s water conservation programs, including rebates
  • Meet the people who help provide your water and get your water questions answered
  • Pick up a rain barrel for $45 (cash only). Limited number available to those who missed the pre-order, first-come, first-served. Rain barrels only available to Guelph residents, ID may be requested
  • Fill up your water bottle at the Water Wagon
  • Check out the plant sale (cash only). Come early for the best selection of annual, perennial and woody plants
  • Learn how to make a low-maintenance plant container at a hands-on workshop (two workshops 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.)
  • Snack on popcorn
