Guelph's first baby of 2023 is a girl.
Alina Rahmaty was the first baby born at Guelph General Hospital Sunday morning, coming into the world at 7:55 a.m., and is the first for parents Famira and Temour.
Alina weighed in at five pounds and 13 ounces, and said to be healthy.
It's just the first of a busy year ahead for the hospital, which saw almost 1,730 baby deliveries last year.
