Reported threats to staff and patrons leads to downtown arrest

A Guelph man was arrested Thursday night after causing a disturbance downtown, Guelph police report.

Just before 11 p.m., police received reports of a male screaming and threatening staff and patrons at several downtown establishments and refusing to leave.

The man was located at Wyndham Street North and Cork Street East and stopped after attempting to flee on foot. A 19-year-old is charged with causing a disturbance. He was released with a condition he stay out of the downtown and will appear in court Dec. 5.
