Due to increasing cases of COVID spurred on by the new Omicron variant, The Salvation Army is adjusting its Christmas hamper distribution on Wednesday, Dec. 22 to a drive-through pick-up again this year.

The Salvation Army is asking anyone who has an appointment to still come to The Salvation Army on Wednesday, Dec. 22, but to be aware of the following information:

  • If your last name begins with the letters A to L, please pick up your hamper at your scheduled appointment time.
  • If your last name begins with the letters M to Z, please come and pickup your hamper three (3) hours later than your scheduled appointment. For example, if your appointment slip says 10:30 a.m., your new appointment time is now 1:30 p.m.

There are a few additional considerations that individuals need to make when picking up their hamper this year. As this is a drive through distribution, please make sure you have enough gas in your vehicle. Additionally, please ensure that there is enough room in your vehicle to hold all the hamper boxes you are registered to received. Please remember to bring your green appointment slip with you.

If anyone registered to receive a hamper this Wednesday has any questions, they are asked to contact The Salvation Army at 519-836-9824.
