Santa returns to Downtown Guelph on Sunday for the annual Guelph Community Santa Claus Parade.

Roughly 20,000 people are expected to line the parade route this year.

The parade starts at 1:30 p.m. on Powell Street then winds its way down Norfolk Street, Quebec Street and Wyndham Street before winding up at the Armoury.

There will be milk and cookies with Santa in the Old Quebec Street Shoppes following the parade.

The weather man is calling for a few flurries and a high of 2 C on Sunday.

Just prior to the parade at 1 p.m. there will be the third annual Santa Run, a 3 kilometre fun run that starts beside the River Run Centre then winds its way down the parade route. It costs $25 to participate with money raised going to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph. Participants also receive a Santa costume which are worn by all participants.

More info on the Santa Run can be found here.
