NEWS RELEASE
GREEN PARTY OF ONTARIO
*************************
The Guelph Greens will officially confirm local MPP Mike Schreiner (uncontested) as its representative for the Green Party of Ontario (GPO) in the 2022 provincial election at a virtual event on April 6, 2021 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Registration is required. RSVP here.

Although uncontested, Schreiner must be officially confirmed and all GPO members who joined the party before March 22 of this year are eligible to vote.

“I’m incredibly thankful to the people of Guelph who have given me the opportunity to represent their voices at Queen’s Park,” said Schreiner.

“Since 2018, I have advocated for the local needs of our community. These efforts include protecting water in the Paris Galt Moraine and being a champion for tackling housing and poverty reduction. And I continue to push back against the Ford government’s agenda of paving over the places we love.

I appreciate the overwhelming support for my re-nomination, and am looking forward to this event as the first step to earning the votes of the Guelph community next year.”

In addition to Schreiner, guest speakers will include Matt Richter, Education Critic, Green Party of Ontario (GPO), and Jaya James, Executive Director of Guelph’s Hope House.
