Missing five key players in 5-2 road loss to Owen Sound

OWEN SOUND – A flu-ridden Guelph Storm squad fell 5-2 in Owen Sound Saturday night.

The Storm falls to 2-8-2-0 on the season.

Guelph had four players out with illness – Sasha Pastujov, Cooper Walker, Valentin Zhugin and Danny Zhilkin – and another out with a lower body injury in Braeden Bowman.

Jett Luchanko and Ryan McGuire scored for Guelph.

Jacob Oster allowed five goals on 32 shots.

Guelph scored first in the game, but Owen Sound scored four times before the first period was over. The second period was scoreless. 

Guelph hosts the North Bay Battalion Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
