Snow squall warning in effect for:

  • Mount Forest - Arthur - Northern Wellington County

Snow squalls today into tonight.

Snow squalls are forecast to persist into the overnight hours, with the most intense snow squalls expected this morning and afternoon. Furthermore, strong northwest winds gusting to 60 km/h will result in widespread blowing snow.

Additional local snowfall amounts of 20 to 35 cm are possible by Thursday morning. The snow squalls are forecast to gradually weaken overnight and Thursday morning.

Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Road closures are possible.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected] or tweet reports using #ONStorm.

Weather advisory in effect for:

  • Guelph - Erin - Southern Wellington County
  • Kitchener - Cambridge - Region of Waterloo

Winter Weather Travel Advisory in effect for today into this evening.

Snow squalls will be possible today as strong winds help snow bands penetrate far inland from Lake Huron.

Travel may be hazardous at times due to heavy snow and blowing snow reducing visibilities and rapidly changing conditions.

Local snowfall amounts of near 10 cm will be possible by late this evening when the snow squalls weaken.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected] or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
