NEWS RELEASE
ST. GEORGE'S ANGLICAN CHURCH

This Sunday, Oct. 2, St. George's celebrates the Feast of Saint Francis.  Saint Francis of Assisi was a venerated Italian friar and teacher who is credited with arranging the first "live animal" Christmas Nativity scene in 1223. Saint Francis was a renowned lover of nature.  As a result, many churches conduct blessings of animals at this time of year.

St. George's will be conducting a Blessing of the Animals at the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday Oct. 2.  So bring your pet, or even a friend's pet - and invite your friend to come along as well.

Where:  St. George's Anglican Church, 99 Woolwich St, Guelph, Ont., N1H 3V1

When:  Sunday Oct. 2, 2022, 10:30 a.m.
