Stanley Cup comes to Downtown Guelph (16 photos)

Rogers Hometown Hockey brings Lord Stanley's mug to Market Square

Several hundred people came down to Market Square on Wednesday, some taking an extended break from work or skipping a bit of school, to have their picture taken with the Stanley Cup.

The event was part of this weekend's Rogers Hometown Hockey festival that is planned for Market Square and the adjacent streets for Saturday and Sunday.

Around 250 people lined up for roughly 20 minutes each on a beautiful sunny day to pose for photos with the cup.
