Steve Earle, Alan Doyle, Bruce Cockburn highlight initial list of Hillside Festival performers

Steve Earle & the Dukes will play Hillside Festival this July.

Steve Earle & the Dukes, Alan Doyle, Bruce Cockburn and supergroup cover band Dwayne Gretzky highlight the 2019 Hillside Festival lineup.

The first batch of artists scheduled to perform at the show was released by festival organizers Tuesday.

More artists will be added to the festival, which runs July 12 to July 14 at Guelph Lake Conservation area.

Artists scheduled to perform that were released Tuesday were: Alan Doyle, Altin Gün, Alysha Brilla, Andrew Craig, Bird City, Birds of Chicago, Bruce Cockburn, The Burning Hell, Busby Marou, Carmanah, Cartel Madras, Chippy Nonstop, Common Holly, DJ NDN, Dwayne Gretzky, Echlo, El Coyote, Elevator, Ellis, Fast Romantics, Foxwarren, Front Country, Fucked Up, Harrow Fair, Haviah Mighty, Hymns57, Ian Blurton's Future Now, Jenn Grant, Jeremie Albino, John Southworth & The South Seas, Josh Q. and the Trade-Offs, Joyful Joyful, Kobo Town, Lydia Persaud, The Mastersons, Orville Peck, The Pairs, Quantum Tangle, Rhiannon Giddens with Francesco Turrisi, Richard Reed Parry's Quiet RIver, The Sea The Sea, Skydiggers featuring Paul Langois of the Tragically Hip, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Songhoy Blues, Splash N'Boots, Steve Earle & The Dukes, Systema Solar, Valerie Ekoume, Wild Rivers, The Wilderness, Yonatan Gat & The Eastern Medicine Singers.

Weekend passes sare $129 (for a limited time), senior weekend pass is $79.50, Friday ticket is $57, Saturday ticket $85 and Sunday ticket $85. Taxes and service fees are extra.

Locally tickets can be purchased at The Bookshelf, The Beat Goes on and the Hillside Festival main office.
