WEATHER ALERT
ENVIRONMENT CANADA
**************************
Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Guelph - Erin - Southern Wellington County
  • Kitchener - Cambridge - Region of Waterloo
  • Mount Forest - Arthur - Northern Wellington County

Brief strong wind gusts possible today.

A strong cold front will sweep across the region this morning into early this afternoon preceded by a band of scattered showers or thunderstorms. Scattered wind gusts near or in excess of 90 km/h will be possible as the band moves through. Given the scattered nature of the band, confidence in high winds gusts occurring in any given place is low.

Where these strong winds develop, local power outages will likely occur.

Environment Canada will continue to monitor this situation closely and may issue watches or warnings as required.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected] or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
