Tents, people, food and music: 17 photos from Taste of Guelph 2016

The 19th annual Taste of Guelph fundraising event was another grand success, with all proceeds going to St. Joseph’s Health Centre

There was a fun atmosphere with great food and entertainment Sunday afternoon under the white tents at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Westmount Road.

The Taste of Guelph event, which is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year, was another great success.

The weather was beautiful and Taste of Guelph attendees came out in force to support the popular, annual fundraiser.

Approximately 50 local restauranteurs, vintners, and microbrewers participated in the event by bringing their finest food, beverages, and desserts.

The event supports St. Joseph’s Health Centre, which operates 240 long-term care beds, and 86 specialty hospital beds, which include complex continuing, palliative, and rehabilitation care.

Specifically, proceeds from the event are used to purchase vital medical equipment needed to care for and heal patients.

The Taste of Guelph event is organized by a volunteer committee, with nearly 90 volunteers working together the week before the big day.
