Terry Fox Run returns with first in-person event since 2019

Following two years of virtual events, the Terry Fox Run returned live and in person on Sunday morning.

The event, held in support of the Terry Fox Foundation’s cancer research and treatment efforts, saw participants run, jog and walk around a loop that began at Royal City Park and followed the Speed River upstream to Gordon Street before heading back down the other side of the river.

It took four loops to complete the 10 km distance.

The run began at 8 a.m. and continued until noon.

Organizers say the event raised about $58,000 and had about 350 participants.
