The Guelph Storm will have to wait a little longer to restart its season as Thursday night's game against the Windsor Spitfires at the Sleeman Centre has been postponed.

Later in the day it was announced that Sunday's home game against Kitchener has also been postponed as Kitchener enters COVID protocols.

Then they announced that Guelph's game in Erie on Friday night has been postponed due to COVID protocol issues related to the Storm.

The league announced just before noon that "due to Covid-19 protocols affecting the Windsor Spitfires Hockey Club, the Ontario Hockey League has announced that they have suspended team activities, resulting in the postponement of two upcoming regular season games also involving the Guelph Storm and Flint Firebirds Hockey Clubs."

The games will be rescheduled at a later date.

The Storm is scheduled to play in Erie Friday night.

The club says that those holding tickets for the postponed games can either hold onto their tickets and use them for the rescheduled game (date TBA) or exchange them at the box office for any other regular season home game based on availability.

The province has also announced new attendance guidelines that will limit attendance at Storm games to 1,000 people. It had been 2,500.
