Today's Guelph Royals home opener postponed

Poor field conditions the reason

The Guelph Royals will have to wait a little longer to play their Intercounty Baseball League home opener.

The game against the Kitchener Panthers scheduled for today at 1 p.m. has been called off due to poor field conditions.

No makeup date has yet been announced.

Guelph opened its season with a win in Hamilton Friday.

They play in Toronto Sunday.

Next home game is Saturday May 27 against Welland.
