Cleanup is underway after a truck was ablaze Tuesday morning close to the Guelph Fire Station on Clair Road.
Chief of Fire Dave Elloway said the Guelph Fire Department received information about a fire in a trailer truck at approximately 7:24 a.m. and put out the fire by 7:40 a.m.
The side of the trailer truck appeared significantly damaged with part of it melted. The cause of the fire is unknown.
Clair Road West is closed at Clairfields Drive West and Poppy Drive West. Police are still on scene.
Guelph Police Service say they received a call at 7:30 a.m. about the truck on flames on Clair Road W and arrived on scene for traffic control.
Scott Tracey, communications officer at the GPS said eastbound Clair Road will be closed for several hours for clean-up.
