Winter Weather Travel Advisory in effect for tonight. This Winter Weather Travel Advisory has been upgraded from a Special Weather Statement that was previously in effect

A 10 to 15 cm snowfall with periods of heavy snow is underway.

10 to 15 cm of snowfall
Periods of heavy snow

Timing:
Snow will continue through Friday morning

Impacts:
Poor winter road conditions due to black ice and accumulating snow

Discussion:
Widespread snowfall is underway across south central Ontario this evening and will continue through the overnight. Snowfall rates of 2 to 3 cm per hour may be possible at times, with a general total of 10 to 15 cm of snow expected by Friday mid-morning. Road conditions will continue to deteriorate this evening.
