Two charged with impaired driving

Impaired drivers

On Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11:46 p.m., police were called to the area of the bus terminal, where there were reports of an impaired driver. 

Police located the vehicle and driver. 

As a result of this investigation, Roderick Mackinnon, a 37-year-old Guelph male, was arrested and charged with impaired driving and failing to provide breath sample. 

He will appear in court on September 2, 2016.

On Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 3:40 a.m., police were called to the intersection of Goodwin and Farley, where there was a report that a Volkswagon had struck a hydro pole. 

As a result of the investigation, Khalid Mohamed, a 20-year-old Guelph male, was charged with impaired driving. 

He will appear in court on August 12, 2016.
