The crash involved two SUVs and an unmarked police car

ELORA - The Elora Quarry Conservation Area is closed after a multi-vehicle crash that occurred approximately 4:30 p.m. Monday right just outside the quarry gates across Willy’s Chipwagon.

East Mill Street between Elora and Fergus is closed between Kertland Street and Gerrie Road while police investigate a multivehicle collision involving two SUVs and an unmarked police vehicle.

The crash occurred between a grey Honda CRV, a black Hyundai SUV and a grey unmarked police vehicle with a severely damaged bumper and deployed airbags.

A family of two adults and two children were seen uninjured on the scene along with a distressed female police officer.

Several police officers were on the scene taking photos of the incident and communicating with store owners around the area.

Initial reports said one person was taken to hospital with injuries that were not considered serious.
